Have some used shafts I picked up with old wraps and they are a pain to remove. Any tips?

I’m surprised to see you asking this question since we all come to you for stuff like this!! FWIW- here’s my method- 1) razor blade 2) acetone 3) get busy, it’s tedious. ( keep the acetone off of the nocks.

run hot water over them or soak in hot water. should peel with ease. Higher heat (hair dryer or heat gun ) will often make it brittle

Acetone to remove any left over glue

Just make it easy and pull/cut the nocks off and stick the wrap ends in acetone and let them stay there for a while. When they come out the wraps will be a snap to remove. Of course you will have to put new nocks on but thats easy.

Use blow dryer or a heat gun to warm up, peel off, use acetone to clean the rest up...works for me...

I stick them in my dip tank with acetone and they peel right off.Actually almost fall off. If you don;t want to do that you can use a hair dryer or other like heat source but that is a pain.

Heat gun, dull knife, Acetone to clean off any sticky stuff. At least on aluminums I don’t need to worry how hot the gun is.

I use steam from a pot of boiling water......

wear leather gloves.......

Hi again...I used the steam method and it softened them up so I could easily take them off in long strips with a pocket knife.

1Longbow...I passed on the potato peeler suggestion to keep peace in the village! LOL!!

I used 99% isopropyl alcohol for the glue residue and it worked very well. I prefer it to acetone when working inside due to the fumes.

Sawtooth...thanks for the compliment...I learn something new every day and 25% of the time it is on this forum!!
