2018 and 2019 were great years! 2020 started out great and had fallen flag due to the Corona Virus. All of my shows have rescheduled for 2021 and/or canceled their 2020 shows. Even had a Sept show cancel. It’s not good ...

But you know what, the sun comes up tomorrow. God has a plan. And although I may not understand it I have faith to know He knows best. This too shall pass. And my family and I are together, we are safe and have food to eat.

I was looking out my office window the other day at this Live Oak tree in our front yard. An arborist tells me it’s over 400 years old. Can you imagine the droughts, the storms, high winds and bad weather this tree has endured for that time?!? I a reminder to me that God has this. If we are faithful it too shall pass. It’s been three or four weeks of spending time with my family. That’s rare and a blessing. We have laughed, played board games and enjoyed each other’s company. Enjoyed family meals and just had lots of family time. So it’s been fun in that aspect.

The shows and the money will come back. Most of my shows will rebook. Hopefully they too will endure this time.

Praying for you and your family. I hope you are healthy, Secure and have plenty to eat. My shows will be there once this is behind us.

It’s all good.

After 35 years in business I’ve seen the tide rise and fall.

Maybe it's God's way to tell us to slow down and and enjoy what is important.,

Yeah I’m actually loving all the time home. We do the Trump speeches via Zoom calls and I hang out at home with my family.

Won’t make a pile of money this year but you can’t put a price on family time. God is good.

I go a little against the grain here. I do not blame this China Corona virus on God.I don't believe He wants bad to come to people. I think I know WHO was partially to blame for this. I have been shooting my bow a lot. Stump shooting is good this time of year in my area. Best wishes to you Frank and everybody.

Some people got "slowed down" by this a lot more than others.

Interesting "plan".

The phrase "every cloud has a silver lining" comes to mind. We have a tourist attraction/camp ground just two miles away. It makes summer a pain in the A$$ for us. Not this year. :)

Sorry but I know you will make the best of it. Jawge

You bet. This is not so bad. Waking up weeks in a row in my bed. No travel. No airports, hotels or crowds. Kinda nice.

You could do virtual shows.

From: JusPassin
Date: 09-Apr-20

The virtual show idea isn't full off the wall if you could get it to video two way. I would imagine having feedback from the audience is central to such a presentation. What say you Frank?

From: AspirinBuster
Date: 09-Apr-20

Perhaps. A virtual show would be no show I suppose.

Frank

My iPhone changed it. I meant to say a virtual show would be better than no show... right?

And before one of our friends chimes in yes it would be free.

Ain't no "piles of money" in doing virtual shows. I'd rest that arm until the crowds can assemble once again. Take it easy and stare at that 400 year old oak and contemplate...beats traveling any day I'd have to imagine.

From: AspirinBuster

South Farm Agreed. The virtual shows would be just to stay in shape and have some fun. We’ll see.

Hope you are well. God bless F

Lots of kids making tons of money on Youtube right now, and we could always use more archery videos! It never hurts to mix it up!

Since a big part of my show tells the next generation to get off Computers and video games and get outdoors I’ve always stayed away from many videos, etc. I have a few online but haven’t really emphasized too much on social media and online.

The flip side is that when you see a video online verses “live” you never know how many tries it takes to make a shot. Film can be edited and digitally enhanced ... I would probably prefer to have any online video be “live” so the audience knows it is what it is. I have a few videos online but not many. In my live shows what you see is what you get. Sometimes we nail everything and sometimes it takes a time or two.

FDP- if you read this you have probably thrown for me at least 25-30 shows. Maybe more?! What’s the average on the baby aspirin would you say?

I like a “live” show best. So we will see.

Mornin' Frank.

I would say the the average would be no higher than the third shot. That is taking in to consideration the throws where the thrower doesn't make a good toss.

I lost count but I do know that at one time you and I were on a pretty long streak of first shot shows.

I'd pay for a good show.

From: AspirinBuster
Date: 10-Apr-20

I have never charged the public Runner. Show promoters or events yes, but if I do something it will be for you guys and no fee. My shows have all canceled but fortunately the first of the year was great and I’ll be ok until this passes.

Thanks - I’ll see what I can put together.

You should apply for the forgivable SBA payroll protection loan.It is available to self employed also.Covers 2 1/2months wages.

From: AspirinBuster
Date: 10-Apr-20

I didn’t think I was eligible ? Since I didn’t have any employees. I’ve always been independent and felt that money was to help small businesses keep their payroll met. I’ll look into it. We will make it but obviously it won’t be a banner year.

But I feel fortunate compared to many. This is heartbreaking. San Antonio is a tourist town and sadly the river walk is empty, the Alamo is closed and restaurants are empty. A friend of mine had 750 employees and 4 restaurants. Very sad situation. Lots of mom and pop businesses are hurting.

I feel Trump will get this economy rolling again after the virus passes. Let’s just get there.

Thanks Nolz, I’ll check it out. Stay well friends. Frank

It's legit. It covers single entity self employed. You can get a 2 page application online or go into your hometown bank.

In our lifetime this is a first. :)

Crazy. I feel so sorry for the small businesses. They have monthly expenses that don’t shut down.

I’ll be glad when we get back to normal.
