I was shooting really good all last summer in prep for hunting season. Then last Sept. 11th fractured my bow holding elbow, hurt my pelvic bones and some neck strain issues. They took the arm cast off after 3 weeks, and I couldnt wait to try shooting again, but hunting was out of the question. Been shooting the last few months but not very good, and joined a place with indoor shooting range for the winter here in Mich. to get back to it. Still cant straighten that arm all the way, might never be able too.

Ive been shooting some league shoots and have held steady the last few weeks around a score of 385-390 but not able to break 400 until last night I shot a new high. I know its not too great but hoping to get it back in time. I have seen improvement each time.

My aiming method is looking at the target. I shoot split finger. Ive never tried 3 under, sighting with the arrow or string or any of the gap stuff.

Those 6 arrows look good, takes time to heal and get strength back, take care and good to be back shooting.

Thanks to everyone. I know its really not too impressive, but feels good to be making a comeback.

I did a couple months of physical therapy, 2 times a week. They really worked me hard for a couple hours a day. I`m sure it helped me, my first day there I had a full arm cast and couldnt hardly walk, but what they didnt see was how bad I hurt for a day or so after that couple hour session. I`m still not 100% and people are telling me i might not ever be again. Next week I go for a 4 hour work evaluation test. I already know I cant do what I was, heavy lifting and hard labor stuff so its looking like I`ll take early SS and find a easier part time job. At 63, I dont think I can do heavy labor work any more, and thats what I needed to pay the rent.

The bow I`m shooting is a 1973 green Kodiak Hunter, my own endless loop string, split finger/tab. 2016 Legacy shafts@28", 5" helical feathers, weather rest.
