Hi, could someone let me know what the circumference of the bear Montana grip throat is?
Thanks! Pat

It's not a consistent measurement. Virtually every one of them I have ever handles feels different, and has a diffrent circumference.
Keep in mind that there is more hand work done on that portion of any wood risered bow made. And since everybody has a different idea of what is "correct" and feels right, they are all somewhat, and sometimes considerably different.

What fdp said. I've even had to take a rasp to bows to make them suit me....more than a few times. A rasp and some sandpaper will make it your own and it's not hard to do, just steady as you go. Reworking a grip/handle can take a bow from good to great.

I understand, what would you say the average might be? I just need an approximation. Thanks

With a grip on it, comes out to 4.5" in the throat. Without the leather I'd say closer to 4.25"

Guess I had more leather on there than I thought.
