Fun day at Shade today.! Met with Monkeyball..Mahantango..Jsweka.. Tim B and a few others to set the ironman course. While others set some other 3 D's. Then we grabbed bows and quivers and gave it a whirl...checking out the fruits of our labor. Passed with flying colors. We are excited. Meanwhile..back at the clubhouse..local scout troop 408 was busily fletching arrows and shooting to earn the high coveted archery merit badge. A veritable beehive of activity with 14 scouts and mentors all working hard. Made for an enjiyable day. Also...The TV show "Penna Outdoor Life" will be a Shade next Saturday to film an episode of the "Cabin fever shoot". Should be a GRAND time...shee everyone in 1 week. Tick Tick Tick.....

With only 9 targets on the main course, not including the iron man course, I was disappointed with the shoot. :^( I didn't care about doing the iron man course.

There wwere MANY more targets than that...this was not just a "3-D" shoot. It was a combo..3- d....iron man...and indoor paper target multi-faceted shoot..or competition. After those nine yesterday our fingers were soooo cold we had to go back to warm up. No way to know if 2' of snow would be on the ground this weekend. The large crowd yesterday had a good time. We aldo shot the 9 3-D's 3 times yesterday...in addition to the Iron man with many groups. We were all TIRED at days end. Whooped..!! A normal 3-D we shoot 30 targets. Penna Outdoor life had a good time filming it all yesterday..!!!!!! I was there shooting from 8-4.

Thanks to Shade Mt Bowmen for a great time! Since not shooting my bows much i shot the course 1 time and stunk it up good. After put’n the bow away i was off to B.S. with the many good folks at the shoot. It’s always nice to catch up with the many fine folks i have met over they years. The chicken bbq was great like always and was stuffed to the gills and to me well worth the 2 1/2 hr drive!

Sorry I didn't make it boys. I always enjoy Shade. Work Saturday and our winter league shoot Sunday kept me home. Heading for retirement this July 1 so I'll be seeing ya'll a bunch this summer. I know it was a fun time...Shade always is!!! Great job.
