LOL - Yep George - Wooly Bully, or Wooly Booger. Depends on how ya look at it.
I'm so hairy, that I used to not need the ghillie, but the hair is so white now it would only work as a snow ghillie/camo. No snow around here right now.
Good on Ya Larry. That's a nice one.
James (Ranman). I didn't see anything to shoot yesterday, but the pig I shot last Saturday (Look For Topic - "Big Boar Down") was shot using the ghillie for a 6 yard shot.
RymanCat - I always have the HECS on underneath everything else.

No deer seen today, and the pigs didn't come around till dark.
With the moon as bright as it was, I decided to stay, and see if I could get a shot by moonlight.
Didn't happen. An old sow cam in behind me, and just stood on the other side of my brush blind not more than 3 ft away for probably 15 minutes.
She was directly down wind of me, so eventually she got a whiff, gave the warning growl, and took off. All the other pigs took off when she did.
Still an exciting evening. I'll go back in 3 or 4 days.

It wouldn't have helped me. She was on the other side of the brush wall I was using to hide in.
The only way I could have shot her would have been to step out of the brush blind. I was seriously thinking about trying it, but she busted me before I made up my mind. I don't think I could have got it done anyway. She would have seen me as soon as I started standing up.

RymanCat:
I just remove all the jute from the bow arm side chest area. Approximately from bottom of rib cage to the top of shoulder for top to bottom removal, and from sternum to side for side to side removal.
Then, I remove the jute from the "inside" of my bow arm sleeve from just above the elbow all the way to the wrist.
While this gets jute plenty out of the way to keep it from tangling in the string, it still leaves a full coverage of it on the outside, that is facing the animal/shot side.
I cut the hood off the suit, and sew it onto a toboggan style/ beanie cap. This allows me to situate the hood on my head where it covers the bow arm side of my face well, but keeps the jute away from the string side of my face.
This is a full long coat style ghillie, but I split both sides from bottom to right at hip level. This makes the suit easier to get on & off, and also allows me to shift it around for different coverage depending on how I have my body positioned. Example: when I am hunting from an open front brush wall blind, and in the setting position (which is most of the time), I shift the majority of the lower front/back panels to the open side of the blind. This leaves my string arm side uncovered some, but the brush takes care of covering that. When I stand up it all drapes back into original position, and I am fully covered.
I also wear a leafy suit underneath the ghillie. I only put the ghillie suit on when I reach the spot I am going to set up for ambush. The leafy suit is good coverage for when moving around, but also adds a lot of breakup coverage to the ghillie.
If you, or anyone else give this a go, it won't take you long to be amazed by just how effective it is. In just my few times out this season alone, I have been close enough to many (MANY) animals (deer, pigs, turkey, and other critters like coons, and possums), that I could have reached out & touched them, and they were totally clueless to my presence, except for a few times when they hung around long enough down wind to finally get a whiff of me.
Even those that got a whiff were still unsure of where I was. The deer were still dumb about it, and hung around close enough for a shot. The one pig that wind busted me didn't stay around to find out.
I have drawn & let down on many deer & pigs inside 5 yards, that I had no intention of shooting, just to see if I could get away with it. I did every time.
Yes, I wear the HECS suit underneath everything, unless I am wearing some sort of thermal under clothes, then I put the suit on over the under clothes before putting on any of the outer clothing, AND yes, I can tell a difference when I don't wear it. :-) .
I'll try to get a picture sometime when/if I think about it, but my description should cover it real well for you.

I should add:
This year/season, I have started using the "Dead Down Wind" products (all of them), and I have been amazed at how long the critters hang around within shooting range (often very close) before they have smelled me.
I'm a Copenhagen user, and seldom without it in my cheek. I think they are smelling it, and where I spit more than they are actually smelling me, but not sure. I'm not going to quite the Copenhagen to find out, because so far there's been no real reason to. :-)
