I guess similar to the body heater thread, but does anyone know of anyone who just makes "half suits"?
I never have a problem staying warm from the waist up. Would be nice if there was a "half bag" type cover to just pull up to your waist for long cold sits.

Get a kids camoflaged sleeping bag. They`re usually a soft cotton material for noise. I would assume it`s better than nothing. A good wool blanket works too.

I used to hunt MN rifle in a down sleeping bag that I’ve had since I was about 8. It’s kid-sized. 5’.
Two Nalgene bottles of screamin’ hot water in the foot of that thing and the drawstring cinched under my armpits, and I was in great shape.
Just hard to stand up in it.

Somebody, and I can't find it right now, made a hip length medium weight parka type coat that used the large chemical handwarmers. The parka had "pouches" sewn in I think 2 on the back and one on each side of the chest on the fron that they slipped in to. I always meant to buy one and never did because it sounded like a pretty good design to me.

Carry a sleeping bag with you...less than $40.00 for a decent one at Walmart.

I may just go the S Bag route. Make a few mods to it and see what happens.

If you already have warm pants you could try boot warmers from Arctic shield or Icebreaker. They zip over the top of your boots and you can drop a toe warmer or two in them before zipping them up.

I can testify that the Arctic Shield boot covers truly work. Another tip is to put a dry chemical warmer in each front pocket. When seated, the heat warms the area the blood must pass through to reach your feet.
