My question pertains to the serial number. I contacted Jeffery Archery about the age of a Royal Hunter I received yesterday. I was told the serial number is on the limb butt. It was mentioned my bow might not be a Royal Hunter. (I had asked if I needed to send my bow to J.A. for new limb fitment. I was told they didn't need the riser if it's for sure a Royal Hunter riser). There is no serial number on this bow. Possibly it was sanded off or? If someone could post a picture of their bow's sn I would appreciate it.

Here's the limb SN from a 1992 Royal Hunter that had no other SN on the riser. https://imgur.com/k3Kcbze
The riser had an inscription, https://imgur.com/s5GJkBG

I sold this one to Jim Reed. I dont know if he still has it. Great bow.

I just removed the limbs and checked the entire riser and did not find any serial number. Hope this helps.

As I remember there was once a serial number on the side of the lower limb but has since rubbed off.

An older gentleman that I know swore by Jeffery bows,,,this old timer killed a big buck every year as long as I knew him, I mean big deer....he kept his Jeffery in the shed,,, he said, "I only own one bow, why would I want or need another, this old beat up Jeffery does the job..!"

Very good bow! I won't park with mine even though it isn't my everyday shooter.

kind of a long story but I have a patriot I bought from Dan quillen in the 80s that was made by Jeffrey for Dan one of the limbs lost its tiller & I bought a used Jeffery royal hunter with 2 sets of limbs & kept the lighter # set of limbs for the patriot & re sold the royal hunter I don't recall any #s on the royal hunter riser. I'm surprised because I had a lengthy conversation with someone at Jeffery about the compatibility of the royal hunter limbs on the patriot riser & yes they do fit but you have to add 5 #s due to different riser pad angles they were very friendly & helpful

Apparently the serial number got rubbed off. The Royal Hunter sticker is gone. No big deal that I don't know when it was made. At least I finally got my hands on a Jeffery bow. And it is sweeet! Thanks for the replys.

Not trying to change the subject but I had a Royal Hunter TD years ago and it was one of my favorite recurves. I have been thinking of ordering another one from them and was wondering if anyone has ordered a bow from them recently and how the quality is these days? I appreciate any feedback. Thanks

Quality is great! But when ordering don't get a poundage you can handle now, think of what you will be able to handle 20 years from now because that's the wait time.
