1964 Polar. I forgot that one came in 56"amo. Thanks Kodiak.

Actually 1963 and 1964. I'm having a rough morning. "LOL"

Excellent shooting bows. The best in my opinion is the 62' Polar. The grip feels better and the limb profile feels smoother out to 28".

Nemophilist knows Bear bows and many of us have seen and shot the 56" Bear Polar. They were limited to production for just two years.

The Bear catalog offered the Polar in 56" in 1962-64 and I've seen one 1965 Polar, 56", that was probably a custom order. In 1964, when the Bear Premier Sight was introduced, a 56" Polar was the only way to get a Premier Sight on a hunting weight bow under 66".

I had a polar long bow. How do these recurves shoot. Are they zebra wood. Hard to find? Expensive?

Good lookers.
