This was ment to be a review of Ringing Rocks "Premium" hickory and bamboo bow kit. But the hickory stave I recieved is so warped from side to side it is unuseable. I've read a couple of bad reviews of thier U-finish bows and gave them the benefit of the doubt, cause wood will move under different conditions but a hickory stave? I would not have posted anything negitive but thier customer service is so poor to nonexisteant that I had to share my experience about the company.

Never heard of them, but, bow kits in general are nothing but a make fast money scheme. I've never seen a good one from any company. The object is to invest the absolute minimum amount of time on them and maximize the dollars. My guess is your boo backer isn't much better in regards to bow build quality. Could you make that board work? Sure could, but you shouldn't have to. Rudder bows sold a ton of junk just like it and left a bunch of folks wondering what they just bought.
