Please post some pics of your Toelke’s. I’m trying to settle on some wood combos.

Here is a whip in the classifieds. I think it is bocote with a bamboo core.

Toelke Troll. For me it was the most accurate bow I have ever held in my hands. I made the mistake of selling this bow and REALLY wish I hadn't. If the new owner sees this and wants to sell I'll buy her back as soon as you are ready.

The bow in my picture has myrtle veneers with two heat treated bamboo, one heat treated maple. one black walnut lam, and the riser is cocobolo. Absolutely gorgeous workmanship.

Whip Takedown with Classic grip. Bocate veneers and what looks like a lam of Micarta continuing from the handle? Does anyone have anything similar or know what else the black lam might be if it’s not a continuation of the Micarta?

What you see as a continuation of the micarta through the limbs is 1 lamination of dark walnut that tapers from the riser towards each tip. The limb laminations in veneered Toelke bows (clear glass) are as follow from back to belly: glass, veneer, bamboo, walnut, bamboo, heat treated maple, veneer and glass. When colored glass is used there is usually one more lamination of walnut between the maple and bamboo to make up for the lack of thin veneers on back and belly. At least that's what I've learnt after talking to Dan and seeing the layering on my clear and colored glass whips. I could be wrong. Hope this makes sense, Pat.

Lynx...fantastic bow...fast, smooth, absolutely no noise or vibration at the shot, shoots where you look, easy to tune...wonder why he stopped making these.

Toby, Riser is ziricote with bocote accents
