Anybody have any experience with predator bows? looking at a basic Dx model the price seems low for a custom bow. Just want some input from anybody who has any experience with them.

I have a classic with the original limbs, #51@28”, and a set of 62” Hunter limbs 46@28” that I will be putting on the classifieds this week. Great bow, I love the smoothness of draw and how it snaps a heavy arrow out with authority, I’m just finding that I like a slimmer grip style. As far as price goes, they’re not truly a “custom” bow, as you’re just buying off the rack of available risers. You can have them build you a custom ,of course, but that’s not the deal with the hunter model I don’t think.

I have. Do with red elm limbs, outstanding bow. Fast, smooth amd no shock. You can't go wrong with a predator. Look in the classifieds for a nice used one, they do show up and you'll save hundreds.

A group of archery buddies have shot them for years. I never asked to try one of their bow while shooting 3D or hunting. Then one day I said " Hey let me shoot your bow". Tim said " if you do, your going to want one." Yup, He was right. I now have 3 of their offerings. The Classic recurve, The Lobo longbow and the Rouge longbow. All are fast, smooth and quite. You can't go wrong. Just my opinion. Jack shoots the DX model and is no different then my Classic, Except mine has pretty limbs.

They are excellent, had one for years. Shot great, but I ended up being more of a hill style shooter. So I traded mine for a jd berry hill style bow. If your. Recurve guy you won’t being disappointed.

Had a couple. They are very good bows but the low shelf and big grip wasn't to my liking.

I like them, had four at one time, have one now. They are loud but maybe that's just power.

I had a Predator recurve. But sold it because of the poundage was a little much to shoot comfortably. The one I had was smooth, fast and quiet. I would like to get another one at a lower poundage. Maybe next year.

If you can adapt to the large grip, they are bomb proof and performers

I have 2 predator hunter recurve 45# and 55# and a predator phoenix longbow 49#.
The predator hunter is exceptional smooth and quick. I prefer the 62inch over the 60inch as I have a 30inch draw and find the 62# even smoother, that said the 60inch really does not stack. The only thing I don't like about the predator hunter is the sound of the limbs they can be a bit loud.
The phoenix longbow is one of my favorite bows. It does have some handshock. It is a little stiff in the draw, but it loves a heavy arrow and I find I am the most consistent with it.
I have also shoot the Rogue and the lobo. The lobo shoots and feels very similar to a martin savannah, but does not have the weight in the riser of the martin savannah. The rogue is also nice , quite, quick nice to shoot.
I find all their bows a build well.

Great bows. They match up to the best out there. 45@28 shoots more like 50lbs. Smooth, fast, quiet. I've had mine for 10 years now.
