I have bow forsale in the classifieds I got a p.m. from fellow called uphuntn also has funny phone number but being 79 lot things seem weird but it seems like I saw that name as a scammer hope that I`am wrong.

He sent me a pm asking about my Oneida I have on the swap and trade

he has a good enough post history for me. I would deal with him and ....not post questions like this. jmo

I was able to pull threads that he posted he is a good member and I apoligize I had senior moment know wonder one of my sons threatning to put me in a nursing home again sorry Hugh.

If uphuntn is Hugh from Michigan with area code 269, I had a good deal with him from the swap thread last month. He takes a little time to get back to messages but was an honest guy. -Matt R

Nothing wrong with asking better to be safe. They tell you to ask about people when dealing then they say you shouldn't, kind of confusing.

I thought the OP post was not out of line.

uphuntin is a good dude. I’ve made several deals with him over years. Always straight forward and fair. Give him a call. Good communication is always the best thing when trying to spark a deal.

I don't blame muley40 for asking. I can tell you if I were a scammer I would go through the site look for names that post a lot, register using that handle, and go from there. By asking helps confirm or dispel his suspicions. We may suspect something unusual but doesn't mean it is. That is why we watch out for each other. I for one appreciate that. DANNY

Please be careful calling out folks Hugh has traded with me before. Just because someone has a weird phone number or an accent doesn’t mean a dang thing.

As one member suggested about giving Hugh a call just got after pickup some of my meds. I would show the weird telephone number that 4 numbers in the area code wll what I found out the phone number is correct when I use my reading glasses I did not use when I read his pm its totaly my fault for posting that thread I`am so sorry anyway I called Hugh and left a message and told him whole story, my son better not find out abou this he will be booking a room for me at the Oakwood care center!!

I had a good transaction with Hugh about a year ago. He lives in my area. We had a face to face meeting and he sold me some arrows. Seems like a good guy to me!
