Started getting ready for our deer season, only a little over a month away. I threw together the ghillie cap to help break up my head n shoulders outline. Last year one of you asked what the little white plastic gizmo attached to my quiver was ( pictured in foreground here). Well i replaced it today with a gobbler wingbone that just happened to fit the hood of my great northern quiver. It holds a good supply of my favorite wind checkers--- milk weed strands and way outcools the little plastic tube.

I like it cool idea. I like making wing bone calls too.>>>----> Ken

Good looking setup. Nice touch adding the wingbone. Best of luck to you this season. Our small game season opens up tomorrow and I have to work a 24 hour shift. I’m heading out to a piece of public land first thing Friday morning after my shift ends to try and slip up on some pigs. We were in them pretty good back in May. I have my bow ready, some Tree Sharks shaving sharp and a couple of small game heads ready for action. It’ll be hot but I’m glad to be able to get out there!

I'm a 'fiddler, as my Dad would have said, but I suppose that would be a tweaker nowadays. I sewed a binocular patch on my sweater back years ago (decades), and am always looking for those litte nuances that just work better. Good stuff.
