Blackhawk Field Archers will host their Traditional Only shoot this weekend, 8/17 & 8/18 at their club in Shirland, IL (near Rockford). The club was established in 1946 - a real classic. If you make the trip, it will be well worth your while. Three really great courses, nice people and good food - a spaghetti dinner on Saturday night. What more could you ask? The wife and i are thinking of going, i was there about 20yrs ago. I just put in a call to a Brenda to ask about camping, and arriving on fri, hope we can arrive fri morning, its a 4 1/2 hr drive for us, hope no rain.

They have 3 nice 3D courses, and a big practice range with targets from 10 yards to farther than I want to chase my arrows.
