Do Yard Sells and Dreams Come True??

HOLLY CRAP!!

Yard sales come true about every weekend in some places. ;) They will get more prevalent around here nearing Labor Day, but not many now. Looks like you did good.

I've found many good things at yard sales and flea markets.

Not here. I envy you guys that live where there actually used to be a decent population of archers.

What I want to know is. Where are the bows that went with those nice arrows you got? Nice find!

Complete set of never used bear arrows in good condition is getting as rare as hens teeth. If you do find them a lot of times the feathers have moth damage. Really nice!

Nice!

Yup, with all the storage units they are building these days stuff will continue to trickle back into the mix. A lot of "STUFF" out there.

Very nice find. I’ve found some good deals on yard sale guns. Not an abundance of traditional archery stuff down here, but sometimes I get lucky.

Very nice! Jawge

I bet you walked away from that yard sale with an awful big smile. Well aren't you going to show us a picture of the Bear bow?

They do and more often than many would think.

I have found that many times the bows are not out on display in the garage sale. They are in a closet or attic or tucked in the rafters of the garage or sitting in the basement.

OFTEN they have been completely forgotten about until you jog somebodies memory.

I take the time to ask if they have any old bows or arrows or archery stuff laying around there not using anymore at every garage sale.

Every once in a while a wife will yell to a husband, didn't you have an old bow around here somewhere.

It works out for everybody in my opinion. The seller gets some cash for something they have no use for and don't value and the buyer gets to put a bow back in circulation or add to his collection usually at a very reasonable price. Good Day

D31 it just happened last Saturday. I asked if he had any bows and he went to the wall in the garage, grabbed a bow and handed me a Bear bow for $20.00. All you have to do is ask.

Great find by the OP on those old arrows.

Jon, my best find this year has ben an original 1959 Bear Kodiak with Rosewood riser, original leather side plate and feather rest.

The gentleman told me to wait here. Its going to take a minute to find it and its going to cost you. I told him I have time to wait but could you tell me what make or model it is. He said no, but I have had it around here for years.

Ten minutes later when he appeared back in the garage carrying the 59 I couldn't believe my eyes. When he told me it was going to cost me 50$ I couldn't believe my ears.

You don't know if you don't ask. Good Day
