I have yet to see it at this point but the owner says its beautiful with only a few small scratches. A 60# lefty , way too much horsepower for me but perhaps too nice to pass up ,,he hasn't listed it yet. Fair price?

strictly out of curiosity but what will you do with a bow that has "way too much horsepower" for you? And I ask because shooting a bow that is too much poundage is a good way to develop form problems.

I probably won't buy it nor try to shoot it but there are a number of leftys here who might have an interest in it and a collection it would fit nicely into,,,,definitely a cult following for the Grove's bows and they aren't that common. If it gets listed on the local craigslist this close to it's creation point it won't last long.

a prestige magnum lasted on Albuquerque Craigs List for a couple of weeks. I don't visit Craigs much but I noticed that one.

I recently purchased a RH Grooves Spitfire Mag 1 55# @ 28" 56" AMO. The bow is a beauty and looks hardly used. I'm trying to find any information on it that I can. Questions of brace height and where its measured from has revealed may different answers. Any one with Grooves experience I'm all ears.

You can find a brace that works by tuning the bow. It's not etched in stone. Many of Groves bows had a lower brace since some of them had the limbs forward of the riser a tad. Simple enough to work to find the brace. 90% of the bows I've owned since the 60's didn't suggest a brace height...you just found it via AMO suggestions for bow/string length.

Harold said that if you want more speed from his already-fast bow you shoot a skinny string and maybe lower brace height...but you play that by ear.
