Just curious.
How do you prevent the commonly used elastic cord from cutting into your arm when using an arm guard.
If I leave it too loose, the arm guard just slides down my wrist.
When I tighten it up so that it stays in place, it leaves grooves in my arm that last for hours.
What's a better system?

Loose weight?
I've seen arm guards with and elastic panel the ran the length of the arm guard and slipped over your forearm. Then there's the type with rivets and a leather thong that laces up. When it's not too hot, a sweatshirt or long sleeve t-shirt helps.
Viper out.

Larger cord or flat elastic straps. Then there is the old Velcro, buckles, or lace up. You can rig one any way that suits you. >>>>-----> Ken

I get the grooves too. The hair on my forearm kinda hides them so they don’t really bother me. Better than having a big purple lump that is very visible, which is what happens occasionally when I don’t use the arm guard.

Most of the time I use a kids soccer shin guard. They have a soft material glued inside that keeps the guard from moving. One velcro strap. two for $5 Even my grandkids think that I'm nuts...
