this may not be of interest for most of the people here, but just in case there's someone thinking about Japanese yumi bow....

Tozando is having a sale. (although office is closed from 8/10 to 8/18 for Summer Holiday, sale goes on till 8/21)

276.44 free shipping for glass Laminated yumi bow from Japan is EXTREMELY good price.

for regular length bow, the weight of the bow is measured at 85cm or approx. 33.5 inches.

for extra long bow, the weight of the bow is measured at 90cm or approx 35.5 inches.

....although the shooting gloves will get you, as they normally cost somewhere around 280 dollars (currently on sale for 181.84).

good news is, if you aren't concerned about Kyudo, you can always use thumbrings. (Thumbrings are traditional Japanese as well, if you go back far enough in History)

arrows: set of 4 aluminum arrows cost whopping 118 dollars so that'll bring up the cost....

but again, if you are not doing Kyudo and just want to shoot long arrows....

above has half dozen 34.5 to 37 inches arrows for 42 dollars

Yumi archery is a very interesting subject to me. From the bows to the tradition and psychology of the shot process.
