Back up for comments and ideas on how we can make this more appealing to everyone. Pappy

"Back up for comments and ideas on how we can make this more appealing to everyone."

I think you already have that covered!

How are the on-site camping accommodations? In the woods, fields, etc? Bathrooms & showers? Fire pits? Thanks.

God Bless.

Grass fields for primitive camping. One on top when you pull in. If you have a fifth wheel, or a really long trailer, that's your best bet. More camping available down the road at the bottom. There are portable toilets and a shower house. You can have a campfire, but if your in grass, you should probably save, and replace, the sod. Food and drinks also available at the concession. Water is available.

Any of these Traditional IBO Worlds happen in the northeast?

From: Chris Walker
Date: 15-Aug-19

George..."I think" the very first one was held in PA or upstate NY. But I may be wrong.

From: Ludy

Will there be eletronic sign in at this event like it was at Howard Hill. I liked it but lots of people didnt.

Next year (& 2021) the 'regular' IBO World Championship shoot will be at Seven Springs PA. Google maps tells me that's an 8.5 hours drive from here in central Massachusetts, so just maybe...

Not a fan of long drives, did 2.5 hours to shoot in NH and eastern NY this year. Tennessee, I'd fly there ;-)

Ludy, not sure yet, they are leaving it up to us. The hunter challenge won't be for sure, haven't decided on the IBO World part yet.I kind of like it and kind of don't.It makes it easier to see your standings and maybe a little easier to figure out the winners. Not sure George, the traditional world has been up north for the first one,not sure where but I think maybe PA, then to TwinOaks for 2/3/4 then to Cloverdale for 5/6 and back to TwinOaks for 7/8/9 and in WV for the last 2.They hold some regional shoots all over the country just not sure where. Actually I was rooting for Branson (only 2 hours away)....I didnt think Twin Oaks was going to ever do it again or just wanted a break. I appreciate it being in the middle of the country. I agree that Twin Oaks is the Mecca of clubs for traditional and there is no better crew than Pappy and his boys. Regards

Dickson, Tennessee is an 11 hour drive for me so that ain't gonna happen. Seven Springs is only forty miles and I've shot there many times in the PSAA back years ago. Pipestem, West Virginia is stil over 300 miles. That's why I was asking about the Northeast. I need to get my lazy arse out and about and maybe get to the mixed shoot there next year.

I realize the computer sign in and scoring is new. There are several people there to help those with the learning curve. It is very simple. It helps with efficiency all the way around. No mistakes made, very organized, and best for all involved. You can see your standings immediately. It also lets Twin Oaks, and IBO personnel do other things to make it the shoot world class. After all, this will be a World Championship, not a rendezvous/club shoot.

" It is very simple" Yes it is.

I like the electronic recording and display. The TV display area always seems popular once scores start showing up and it really is simple. It is the 21st century after all.

From: DanaC

I saw that system (or something similar) at the Rinehart 100 a month ago. Pretty cool watching updates come up every few minutes.

I'm guessing that for IBO you'll still have the double scoring and all cards duly initialed, signed, checked etc.

A friend used a score-keeping app on his phone when we shot together a cople weeks ago. Probably no big trick to download from smartphone right into this new system, possibly via bluetooth technology. (Which is gonna leave us pencil users in the dust...)

George it ant in Dickson, that is Buck HOLLOW, TwinOaks is between Nashville and Clarksville,TN/Fort Campbell,KY off I 24. Not any closer for you though.I have only used the Electronic sign up once and with a little help it wasn't that bad, seemed to go pretty smooth. Pappy
