Ordered it last year at ETAR and picked it up this ETAR. What a beauty and shoots great. Couldn’t resist the high gloss finish. I ordered it ina lighter weight so I could enjoy it fir a long time.

Thanks for sharing the photos of the San Marco Eagle. I also picked mine up at ETAR just weeks ago and so did my friend. They look identical, mine is 41#. Great shooter! Enjoy shooting it.

I talked to Frank very briefly at ETAR, he is really hyped about his new bows. He used to be a regular at the Pa. Bowhunter Festival in Forksville, Pa. for alot of years. Frank's workmanship is hard to beat and the finish is gorgeous. He made some of the most beautiful ASL's you ever laid eyes on.

Franks still got it! Had a nice conversation with him not too long ago and he was really excited about this hybrid. I had to sell 2 of my San Marcos recently due to shoulder issues. I sure would like to find one of his “traditionals” (Hill style) rh 50- 55 pounds someday. Broke my heart to sell the ones I had. Congrats on your new bow!

Wayne, I didn’t run it thru a chrono but it seems pretty fast for such a light poundage bow. There was a young man set up with a chrono at etar but when I went back with the bow to test it, he was not at the station. I will say it was seems a little faster than my widow plx that is 5 pounds heavier. And my bareshaft tests suggested that as well. Frank supplied a D97 string with it and to my ears it had a very distinct fast flight thump to it no matter how high I raised the brace height. But shooters around me said it was still very quiet.
Here it is with 2 of Frank’s ASLs. His ASLs definitely have more hand shock. The Eagle is smooth drawing and dead in the hand at release. The bow on the left was one of Frank’s personal bows years ago and is labeled 60#@28”. It has no tip overlays but has the cool (to me) goat leather lace wrapped grip. The middle bow has the fluted tip overlays and obviously the locator grip. Both of the ASLs have very nice shedua risers and beautiful yew cores. The Eagle has bamboo cores and several different exotic hardwoods in the handle and bocote tip overlays. The high gloss finish is even nicer than pictures show. I love em all!

I'm glad to see Frank is getting back into it, he was out of the loop for some time.
He called me about a month or so ago and bought one of my Shrew Classic Hunter II's. A short 54" in a light weight. He's building his own bows but he said he wanted one of mine.

Jerry, Frank said he cut it right to center, but that is before the sideplate was installed I believe.

I spoke with Frank today. He said he took the 3 orders he was looking to get at Denton Hill and now is only taking names but not promising delivery times. I feel very fortunate to get one of these new hybrids as I don't think he will produce too many.

Bernie, I don't know if Frank is only making the grip that is on my bow or if he will put a Hill style grip on it. I saw a few others that guys were picking up at ETAR and they all had the same grip. The distance between the end of the fadeouts is approx. 20".
