I have looked but haven’t seen much information / reviews on St. Joe River bows. I got a youth model for my kid . I was really pleased with their service and workmanship for a youth bow.

Does anyone have any feed back on their adult bows? Was curious about their longbow called the torrent but also liked the looks of their recurves.

Dave and Tracy are as good as they get. I personally like their recurves. To me, the grip is very comfortable, smooth draw with no stack. I’ve never shot their longbow.

They make a great bow. Never heard a negative.

They are members here and post now and then, and they are top notch people as well as quality bowyers. You will get an honest deal and a great bow. Don't know what else you might be looking for...but them is good folk.

I agree with all that has been said.

Here's an original St. Joe River Classic Recurve, made by the company's founder Craig Potter. The workmanship is immaculate--and from what I've seen and heard, Dave and Tracy have kept the quality and service top-notch.

I hunt with one of their recurves and have purchased two youth LBs for grandsons.

I'm sure they would get back to you here, but I think they are on their way to Africa, or already there?

Great shooting bows, and superb craftsmanship! My wife and I both love ours!

I don't know the name of the model but their flatbow I shot at Kalamazoo last winter was the best shooting bow I laid my hands on. Wish I would have bought it.

My buddy bought one of their recurves at the Pre-Spring Arrow Fling in Alabama probably 7 years ago, all bocote and it is beautiful.... and a great shooter.

They make great bows for sure. I have a Torrent longbow that shoots fantastic.. They are easy to shoot good and not fussy about arrows.

I have bought all 3 of my grandsons a SJR youth longbow too. Lots of fun!

Talked to David and Tracey at GLLI - they are always super nice. I shot a 62” Classic longbow at GLLI and was grouping the arrows good right away.

Had Tracey build me a custom recurve about this time last year. She was great to work with from beginning to end. After we got the basics down, she sent me a selection of probably a dozen pictures of various wood veneers she had on hand that matched my preferences. Then she sent me a box of different styles of wooden grips to choose from. When none of them felt quite right, I sent her pictures, measurements, and a trace of an existing grip I really like and she modified one of her standard ones to match perfectly. From end-to-end, the process lasted about 4 months, even with her trip to Denton Hill (ETAR) in the middle of it. She's a class act and builds a really great bow.

Very forgiving bow. If you look at the top picture in Crookedstix's post you can see why. I love the curve of the longbow. Have never shot their recurve, but the longbow is one of the best.

If I explained the shot on this buck, many wouldn't believe me. Best shot I ever made, by a lot.

You won't go wrong, having one their bows. Great people they are.

Dave and Tracey built a custom for me, Goldie, and a "hers" version for my wife, that both shoot as wonderful as they look. Not only are they great at what they dox but are genuinely great people that I am fortunate to have as friends.
