At ETAR a guy on the blanket had a bunch of footed arrows with broadheads that looked like Eclipse but only marking on them was stamped Canada Eh . The seller was busy talking with someone so I didn’t get a chance to ask what they were . I’m thinking Journeyman ?

Yep it's a Journeymen.

Designed and tooling built by my hunting partner Theo Reichart. We work together and he is a great Toolmaker and Tooling Engineer. Great broadhead. I took my best buck with Theo's Journeyman

I have seen them with Canada on them but these had Canada Eh! Stamped into the broadhead not just Cananda. Does anyone have one like that they can post a picture of .

I have been using the Eclpise for years and they are tough and just plan kill critters. I should have stuck around the trade blanket and bought those heads.

did journeyman stamp them,' Canada Eh' ? what are these heads???

I have one stamped like that around here. If I can find it I'll try and post a photo of it.

The one stamped with "EH" was from 1996. The first version without "EH" was 1993.

There are several things that make or break broadhead sales. One is not enough demand for the supply, and another is not enough supply for the demand. Don't know which is which or how. They were great heads for sure but something happened that they didn't continue. The Ace standard is very similar to the Eclipse. Maybe it was a timing thing too.

Ok now the search begins to find one of the EH versions for my collection. Thanks

And then to confuse you and me a bit more.... Some of the Journeyman unstamped heads went to a guy in Las Vegas. He stamped them "Raptor" and serrated the back 1/3 of the edges and painted them red. Magnus made the Journeyman head after the Canadian head was off the market and the Eclipse is also part of that somehow- I am not real clear on how that developed.

Rag horn this is getting confusing! But trying to piece things together is half the fun...

Is it the famous "Poutine Killer" ?

The ones that were serrated and painted red were done for Ted Fry at Raptor Archery in Oregon. That ended up being a Patent infringement and they had to stop making them that way.

I purchased a box of about 25 used Journeyman heads several years ago. I checked and ten of them are stamped Eh. I never noticed that before. These are all the smaller size.

Actually Bob you are incorrect on your information regarding the serrated head from Brian Oats of Journeyman Broadheads . The Raptor stamped serrated blade that was made by Journeyman Broadheads was shipped to Las Vegas ( just like Raghorn said in above post) where it was serrated and painted red and stamped RAPTOR , thats where the problem arose. Raptor is a registered trademark and Raptor Archery made it clear that this was a trademark infringement thus they discontinued the broadhead At no time was Raptor Archery contracting Brian Oats to manufacture a broadhead for them.

Ted: I stand corrected, sorry about that.
