I shot the 500s and 600s. As said, they are great arrows and if you have an average draw length they give you plenty of room to tune through shortening. I found them just a bit heavier gpi than i like w my light bows and 26" draw length.

I doubt you could throw a rug over the difference from the worst carbon arrow to the best. All of them will shoot better than you can shoot them, unless you are in the top 1% of archery champions on the planet.

Our range captain uses them all the time, and I’ve adopted more than a few of his accidentally-shortened arrows. I like ‘em even better than he does... He gets ‘em cheap, but I get ‘em FREE!
No issues.

Walmart arrows are arrows from Carbon Express, and they are made in China. Only Gold Tip is made in Mexico, and Gold Tip shafts are excellent shafts. Black Eagle are made in China, and are decent shafts for the price. A lot of guys are shooting them because they are do easy to get, mand can be found fairly cheap.

Pretty tough arrows. I just bought some more. You won’t be disappointed. Their fake wood grain is not to my liking but other than that good arrows.

Having never shot them, I can't comment pro or con. Apparently there are those who feel compelled to offer opinions who also have no experience with the Black Eagles. Interesting.

I have been shooting them for more than a year. They are tough and fly beautiful. Easy to get weight up front with that 100 grain outsert. At first I mounted the outsert with hot glue and lost a couple in targets..the shaft doesn't protrude very far into the outsert and with the micro diameter shaft there isn't much bonding surface, then I switched to steel epoxy and had no more problems. If you use them be sure to plug the outsert with a field tip or else the epoxy will plug the threads up front, i learned that the hard way!!. They will be my moose arrows this Sept. Sandy

As mentioned, Goldtip are the only ones made in Mexico, and lots of folks use them. Walmart arrows are Carbon Express and pretty darned good arrows. Lots of guys around here buy them and seem pretty happy.

George I am going to have to disagree I think there is a big difference between the worst and best carbon arrows. And did a couple of you just suggest I buy my arrows from Walmart I only buy from my local archery shop I love the sport too much to buy from Walmart I don't mind so much if they are made in China or Mexico that's the way of the world now a days it should not be but it is but please support your local shop or we will not have them there knowledge and time is worth the extra money to me.

Any carbon shaft can be a bad carbon shaft. And even the best carbon shafts have a stiff side and a weak side. Some worse then others.. And just because you buy your arrows at the local pro shop doesn't mean you're buying the best shaft. And some local archery shops don't even deserve to be called an archery shop!!

Thanks for the solid advice Buglmin you change my mind Instead of going to the archery shop now to get arrows I will go to Walmart hell while I am there I will get my wife some tampoons and maybe a frozen pizza.I am sure the 18 year old that got a ride to work from his mom that works in the sporting goods department can take care of all my archery needs.I think he is going to recommend the great value shafts but I am all in on the Sam's choice there zebra striped like Ted Nugents.

slingNsticks, I'm currently shooting the Black Eagle Zombie Slayers. I didn't like the graphics so I cleaned it off the dozen I got with acetone in about 5 minutes. I like the arrows, they seem pretty durable. I have a friend that shoots the vintage and he likes them as well.
I agree that not all carbon arrows are created equal. My neighbor owns a traditional archery shop so I've been fortunate enough to mess with a bunch of different carbons.
Good luck in your arrow choice!

slingNsticks, Whatever dude!! Love how guys preach buying the local archery shop, trash talk arrows, and seems to hate Walmart and all that's associated with it. Saddest thing is, the Gold Tip Nugent shafts you seem not to like are probably a better shaft then what you're shooting... Oh wait, I should of known, knowing you're attitude, you only shoot made in America Easton shafts. Don't tell me, with you're attitude, Easton traditional, two spines too stiff and 400 grains up front that you swear fly perfect cause that's what your archery shop recommended. Yea, I know your type...

Buglmin, Dude really you had the time to think and type it out and you still wrote dude.I was not trash talking arrows as you can see in a earlier post country and brand do not matter to me.As far as Gold Tip and Ted Nugent I did not know what arrows he shot I was just trying to think of the dumbest looking arrows out there for the Walmart Great value joke but thanks for the fact at least you did contribute something of value to the thread.Sorry you got butt hurt I would like to make it up to you if you would like you can but me down on your job app. so you can get a job at Walmart that you seem to love so much so we can get that dumb ass out of sporting goods and get a real PRO in there. You see earlier post was sarcasm this is attitude.See I know your type too.You think you know a lot about bow hunting and archery but you don't so you just pop in and give no help on the topic or knowledge what so ever like the rest of these other helpful people were I come from and sorry for the archery pun everbody we call people like you a "Bowtard".Now you better head home I hear your mom calling you your going to be late for your first day at walmart.

Slingstick. Anthony needs no help from me in his defense, but here goes. You, obviously, are new to the Leatherwall and if you are inquiring about these arrows you are apparently new to traditional archery, as well. He is a professional and knows what he is talking about. You, not so much.
If it was up to me, your sorry ass would be booted from this site just for being the disrespectful, ignorant punk that you are.

SlingNSticks, Hahahaha... Dude, I owned my own pro shop, made custom arrows for 17 years, and now work for a repping company. I'm a pro shooter and have a list of sponsors that would make your head spin!! Not many have a custom recurve maker as a sponsor. I'd love to see your shooters resume... Cmon, post it..
Bowhunting... I'll be in seven states this fall, starting in two weeks in Utah chasin mule deer, and finishing up in Febuary in Texas, chasin exotics. In between, I've got guys coming to chase elk and black bear, have a lady with a sheep tag I'll be helping. You? On top of this, I'll be doing my shows and events in four states. You?
Oh, and when I was partnered in High Country Safaris, we ran over 90 hunters a year through our camps and houses, guiding elk, mule deer and black bear. We had major bow manufactures send 10 to 14 guys a year to our camps. You?
So, you see, I do have some experience, know a lil about what I'm talking about. Some say I've killed more deer then cwd. I've kept my professional life quiet, don't brag on myself, but now you know who I am and know I've got a lil experience. You?

I like them, they are good arrows just found them alittle brittle if I hit "the rocks" If you have a long draw. I think they come over 33" which is pretty good, and the wrap and fletching is sorta cool if your into that.

I'll say this, Black Eagle sells quality arrows. If they didn't, they wouldn't be in business still. They've got lots of people shooting their stuff. They are easy to find at good prices.
I don't shoot them, but I have off and on since 2013. I've never had an issue with them, or know guys that have had issues with them. The guys are top notch, love to talk hunting, and are good and down to earth. If you have issues, they will do what is needed to help you.

Best carbons I have used. I like the straightness. And each batch has the same spine. Excellent shafts! I have 2 doz vintage fletched up with Zwickey Deltas screwed on ready to go! And another 2 dozen for practicing. Super tough. I have beat the hell out of a couple of them. Been using them for a while now. I noticed they are much stronger with crossing shots where arrows can smack together. I did a lot of toughness testing because I had two kinds of Axis type Easton/Beeman made shafts that twice snapped right behind the inserts on deer. Those would not tolerate any kind of side impact either. Tedd

Not to crazy about them I’ve had a hard time keeping the outserts on. Maybe it’s my epoxy or my installation but no matter how carful I am they seem to come off. Even tried hot glue. If someone has had better luck maybe they could share there prep and install method.

I use the instincts, and have killed alot with them. I think the shafts are great, but the outsert system for the skinny shafts is horrible. Not enough surface area for glue, so they pull off, and routinely break on hard impact right behind the outsert. I ponied up and got the ethics footed inserts. It was pricey, but I got the aluminum and the steel, and combined them to get the tuning I want, and they are now pretty bulletproof, and I have no fear of the inserts coming out.
