Looking for inserts that will allow the addition of screw in brass weights to increase the foc or adjust spine of 2018 aluminum arrows.
I want to stick with my bear razor heads.

You could also use heavier inserts in those razor heads...

If the Razor Heads are glue on and using broadhead adapters: Short Aluminum 25gr= 150gr broadhead, 42gr Long Aluminum = 170gr broadhead, 50gr Steel Adapter = 175 broadheads, 100gr Steel Adapter= 225gr broadheads. You can get 145gr. 175gr, and 225gr field points that will match up to the adapter+ broadhead weights and then fine tune with shaft length. A difference of 5grs won't mean anything when tuning. So you don't need brass inserts, and I believe brass inserts are only made for carbon shafts. DANNY

Actually they're available for the most common 'black Gamegetter' sizes -

From the pictures it looks like the inserts from 3 Rivers will accepyt weights -

Just buy some different weight broadhead adapters for the glue on models and get any weight you want. If you're shooting the blue screw-in models, then a heavier insert would be the ticket.

The worst words in traditional archery are "I want to stick with" followed by one choice.
I shoot broadheads that weigh 125, 135, 142, 175, 200, 210, and 250 grains.
No need to play with insert weight.

Absolutely! I want to know what *works best* and if it's longer, shorter, heavier or lighter, fine! Can't let expectations get in the way of observation.

I scoured the catalogs looking for heavier heads last summer. There really isn't much to be found, at a reasonable price, that is above 150. I use 225 field points and would like very much to find a screw in broadhead at the same weight. Do tell!

Brad,
ANY 125gr-135gr glue on broadhead and a 100gr steel insert some hot melt glue and you are good to go. Been doing it for years. DANNY

That should be steel adapter, not insert. DANNY
