I'm considering getting a pop-up blind for an upcoming elk hunt, and I've never used one before. I'm 6'3" and my bow takes a 60" string (let's call it AMO 64"). Is there any commercially available pop-up blinds that is tall enough for me to shoot and/or manuever? Any tall shooters with experience shooting out of one of these things? Thanks.....

I will be trying out a ghost blind this season. No top, so height is not an issue.

Hidden Hunter blinds, very portable and I've shot my 66" longbow out of it.

the tree seat. google torges tree seat. I use this thing all the time, just pile some brush in front of me, or not. the whole idea of it keeps weight down, it is what I use during the pre rut and rut while rattling, doing 3-6 setups every morning. it is a rope and plywood setup, as perfect and cheap as it can be.

Build a natural blind.

Walmart sells sheets of pre-camo'd burlap. I hang them outside and hit it with the hose and let them get "weathered" You can use stakes of brush to hang the stuff on in the field. Brush it in a bit and sit behind it. I find I need to sit back from it a few feet, to make it easier to move around and to stand up to shoot.

Hidden Hunter 6x6 blind is tall enough but only about 5' wide inside between the walls. While sitting back as far as possible arrow sticks out of blind in front when you raise your bow until you draw back. Don't know if it matters with elk but not good for turkeys.

You'll be dead the first day lugging a blind through the mountains! Nature provides tons of natural materials especially in elk country, but if you insist you need something go get you some of that 4'x15' camo blind netting...the kind duck hunters use...and drape or rope it up in front of you. I can't even imagine packing in a full ground blind unless you can drive to within 1/4 mile of your spot.
