Anyone have one of the Twig Archery Spitfire recurves? If so what do you think, price is right just wondering on quality.

Twig Archery is an honorable shop and has a great history. That looks like a great bow. Twig will weigh it for you to ensure you're getting what you order and they give a years warranty as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them.

I have looked at them on the website several times. I'm normally a longbow guy, but have really been thinking about this one. I really like the belly mounted limbs. And at that price, if you don't like it, it wasn't a huge investment . Curious to hear feedback also

I watched the videos Twig Archery had on the Spitfire and it looks and sounds like a very good bow. At 62" and my 29" draw it should fit me well.

I also liked the Nitefire (I think that's what it was called) recurve.

It's a good looking bow. There's some Youtube videos on it from Twig Archery YT channel. If you haven't checked them out already. One shows him chronograph a 11gpp. Arrow at 169 fps. Not too shabby at all!

I've dealt with Twig for nearly 30 years purchasing some of the best quality wood shafting. Bought a Sage recurve for a friend from them. Wonderful people to deal with and treated me top shelf.

I bought shafts from them years back. Great folks to deal with, loved those Ramin shafts. I am sure that bow is a good product otherwise why would they want to ruin their reputation.

I have looked at that bow too. Interesting.

I bought my first bow fron John C at Twig. I was greener than grass back 6-7 years ago regarding archery He spent 30 minutes on the phone with me answering every question, and guiding me through the purchase process. I can't write or say enough positive things about Twig Archery overall, and John C specifically.

Call John. Trust him.

I have one in 40#, super smooth drawing out to 31" and the grip fits my hand great! The only thing that took me a little getting used to was the smaller sight window. Probably one of my favorite shooting bows...I definitely recommend it!

Twig Archery is great to deal with!

it only comes in right handed,,,,, too bad otherwise I would own one,,,, every one knows, to be truly a trad archer, you must shoot with the left side

Actually ground hunter, to be a true archer 1 must master shooting ambidextrious, ha!

GH, is that because all left handers are in their right minds. :-)

Twig Archery is great to deal with. Very nice looking bow but archery manufacturer's discrimination strikes again...Right Hand only.

From: TGbow

I have a Spitfire. Its one of the best bows Ive shot in 45 yrs. I do prefer a bow with a longer sight window but thats personal preference. Shoots stable, clean and quiet.

I ordered one, I like the black hunter so much figured I’d give it a try

Who makes the bow for him?

From: The Whittler

I wonder how it compares to the Black Hunter especially with a 29" draw. The BH seems to be quite a bow from all the reviews I have seen.

Looked at it ... not yet available in lefty version.

Got mine today, i like it better than the black hunter , very quiet! One of the best deals out there for sure! Twig archery is the best!

Twig scales the bow before shipping

Talked to John from Twig Archery the other day and he tests each one individually, at 28” AMO. No left-handed Spitfires or Nitefires available.

From: bluej
Date: 10-Aug-19

Yes John does, this bow is flat out awesome!

From: dean

I was considering getting one of those and someone gave back a lighter weight Wing that my wife should be able to shoot. If i would have targeted a 35@26 and got a 41@26, i would have been upset. Twig Archery is obviously doing a good job, checking over what they sell.

From: The Whittler
Date: 10-Aug-19

Bluej, if you don't mine me asking how much. I do like the looks and with a 62" over a 60" it should be a little smoother with a 29" draw. Thank for sharing.

From: Dean

$199 and they are very smooth at 29"!
