Had my ilf longbow limbs dipped in november and the pattern is peeling off under normal use. Anyone else have this issue? Im torn between a redip or sand and paint.

Exactly what is peeling? It should have a base coat of paint, then the dip pattern itself which is nothing more than ink, then a clear coat of some type on top. If it's peeling down to and including the base coat, I'd say it wasn't cleaned and prepped correctly before the base was sprayed on.

I'm not a fan of the hydrodipping so I would personally paint it myself.

I really like my hydrodiped bows. I have five bows hydrodiped with no problems. Sounds like it wasn't cleaned and prepped correctly like Billy Shipp said.

If I may ask, who dipped your bow? There are some shady dippers about. Eric Srils, owner/operator of Unique Hydro Graphics is one of them.

I agree with Nemophilist, if prepared properly during dipping process, should not be peeling.

Sometimes stuff just happens. If the hydrodipping company takes care of the problem at no cost then there is not much to be mad about.

Recontact whoever did the job, they should stand behind their work and make it right. If they don't then the ball is in your court, you likely won't recover your money but be sure and let them know that you will be a negative advertiser for them. Dissatisfied customers are not what they want if the want to stay in business. If they don't make it right then send it to Randy Hoffer and he'll do it like it shuld have been done in the first place and it'll look way better than a rattle can job. www.rahoffer.com
