Has anyone tried cutting feathers with any of the templates out there. Looks like a cool idea

I have the ones from FairBow. I have used them to cut my wild turkey feathers. Works good, you need the correct rotary knife. I bought one that the blade guard didn’t retract enough for the thickness of the plastic template. I think 3Rivers has a version of the ones I have?

I make my own and use them all the time. The ones I make are made from galvanized flashing so I either trim the shape with scissors or burn to shape with a lighter depending on my mood.

Don't waste your $. I make mine from paint stir sticks and use a rotary fabric cutter and pad.

Any sharp knife works if you tape it

Thanks Ralph! The rotary cutter and fabric mats were gifts from my wife, back when we would compete in blackpowder matches. We cut many thousands of cleaning patches before i repurposed them for feathers.
