There is a sharpie in the box. Might be cool to get all your mojam buds to sign the box. Open to Mojam guys to deside what to do with it. Arvin

You know I hate to hear you can't be there Arvin, but we'll make sure that your bow gets thoroughly tested... :) That case is just too cool! We have the plaques ordered for the Flight shoot and it sounds like there will be a lot of us there for a week this year... :) Take care and plan to be there next year.

Don't forget to grab a stave and head to Marshall, Mo. July 18-21 for this years MoJam! There are always lots of bowyers on site to help everyone interested in learning to make a selfbow, arrows, string, or anything else needed to complete your primitive archery addiction. It's free and there is plenty of room for everyone that wants to camp. They have several events this year, they include the long shoot, clout shoot, 3D range, running pig, flight shoot, shooting range, huge potluck dinner, and outstanding auction. There's contact information on the Marshall Bowhunters Facebook page. It might be warm... but there's always plenty of FREE ice! Arvin's bow set will be at the 2nd National Primitive Broadhead Championship shoot. Everyone that shoots will also shoot one arrow from his bow and then sign the bow box. We will put the entire set in this years auction!

Scott has many talents... this bow was just tillered and didn't even have finish on it yet... over 200 yards with a 10gpp arrow!

From: Arvin
Date: 26-Jun-19

Anything over 200 yds is a great shot from a selfbow. Especially 10gr per pound. Arvin

Y'all keep this going and a few of you will get bit by the bug like I did. Then we will see ya at the salt flats on occasion. It is another level of archery and bow making. But let me tell you there is plenty of bowyers that attend mojam that could break records. If they find the urge. Arvin

Wish I could make it guys. But it's a 6 hour drive, and I don't do heat well. I've always wanted to attend one. But July is the worst possible month for me to go, besides August. I hate the heat that much. Lol

Thinking of bringing my family down for this event...from Kentucky. I have never built a selfbow...but have a burning desire to do so. How does a fella go about building a bow at MOJAM? Are there staves there to purchase...or do you have to bring your own? Are the bow building instructors just volunteered...or do you have to hire one? Are the draw knives, scrappers, etc, there to use...or do you need your own?

Sorry for all the questions....but very interested in attending.

From: BowAholic
Date: 07-Jul-19

Looking forward to meeting you and the family KyStickbow. There are always staves available when you get there and someone will help you find the best one for the best price...or you can bring something from home. :) There are several helpers available at all times day and night and tools to borrow as well. Everything is free except for the wood... and I have seen those in need get free wood as well. Ask away and come build a bow!

Thanks for the pictures Bob. Man I really wish I could go.

Kystickbow or anyone interested in building a selfbow. I highly recommend attending this event. I haven't been to it yet. It's definitely on my bucket list. I've met several of the bowyers who help with this event and they are all top shelf bowyers and very passionate about passing it on. I'd really like to meet the ones I haven't yet. Everything I have heard about this event is great. Only complaint I've ever heard was the heat.

Hopefully you all get some nice weather.

The Marshall Democrat News had a great article complete with photographs and they had two gallery pages of color photographs as well. Great coverage for MoJAM.

The article and gallery of photo are available on the newspaper website and facebook page.

Weather could have been a bit cooler but a grand and glorius time was had by all those partipating and attending.
