Hey all,

I'd like to ask you guys and gals about this bow and see what your thoughts are of it. It's the BLACK wOLF ILF Recurve that's sold by Lancaster. I think it's made by Win&Win, but that could be wrong. I know there was an almost identical rig a year or 2 earlier than when this bow came out, but it had a different name. As far as I can tell, it's the same bow and limbs. Don't know what prompted the name change or if it is indeed the same bow. Anyone know?

Ever since seeing it I have been interested in it. I've watched numerous YouTube vids on it and nearly all of them rave about it. Who knows whether they were given the bow to influence their thoughts though. One guy even said it was almost boring and no fun shooting it cause it was so accurate and comfortable to shoot, if you can believe that.

Anyway, I'd like to know what you all think of this rig, riser and limbs. I have an ILF rig now, a Morrison Aluminum 17 inch riser with some older limbs. The Black Wolf is also 17 inches, but just buying the riser wouldn't get me much unless I bought the limbs to go with it, or another set that was a high performance set.

Any info you care to share would be appreciated.

One last thing....what do you estimate these rigs, riser and limbs, would go for in USED condition? Just window shopping right now. I don't have the funds to buy right at this time.

Thanks for your time and help. Have a good weekend. Larry

Yes Win&Win makes the black wolf and lobo all carbon riser and ILF limbs of many choices , that’s the greatest thing about ILF limb choices, My son has one and thinks the world of it , and I have one, they are great made carbon risers. And the best part is that Lancaster archery is great to deal with and they take care of you. We both like the forward riser best of The Black Wolf, don’t know what else to say, or try one before you buy, most used ones I’ve seen go for around 300. But not to often.

The first generation was the W&W RCX17, second gen was called the Black Wolf, latest gen is the Lobo. They are all exactly the same riser. The grip on the RCX 17 was a gray laminated wood, the BW and Lobo I believe are brown laminate wood grips.

I have a RCX17 and like it a lot, I did replace the stock grip with a low Jager 2.0 though.

I have the riser and a set of trad tech carbon foam limbs on it. It's a great little bow, and took a nice deer with it first time out.
