My knapping buddy called and asked me to make and fletch 3 wood arrows with the feather color combination as shown. I didn't think much of the choice but the customer is always right. I sent the fletched arrows to my buddy who knapped the points and attached them to the arrow. A customer ordered them for her husband as a birthday gift. As you can see by buddy is a master at flintknapping.

Very nice arrows. What do the tips weigh, and what spine are the shafts? Do you know what the customer is planning on taking with them and what bow he shoots?

From: MStyles

These arrow were made just to look at. The Mrs is going to stick them in a clear glass vase for her husbands office. Kind of like art I guess.

I didn't ask too many questions. I just made the arrows.

I know that $75 and arrow is real expensive BUT so was the rock that the points were knapped out of. You have fancy jasper ( the pinkish head) and the other two are polychrome which I believe comes out of Africa. And then you have arrow making and knapping time. Lot of time and expense goes into the knapping thing. Just ask and rock head that posts on here.

Folks willingly put down thousands of bucks for home or office art, of which some times the subject is splattered paint on a 16" x 20" piece of velour paper.

Here is a new "medium"...well, new to many...of functional display art. Individual arrows created with unique knapped points, with carefully crafted fletchings and color choices.

Artwork to the recipient, because the recipient now has the pleasure to see these on a daily basis. Perhaps the person works in a creative industry, where these will inspire. Or perhaps the person's office job is so exceedingly mundane (but highly profitable) that an artpiece that links them to another place is what the person's spouse was intending.

Art IS in the mind of the beholder. But, I think the majority of Archers on this thread would agree that the shown arrows are quite completely Art-Worthy....
