Picked up a metal handled Quinn stallion at cloverdale yesterday. I wish to refinish the riser. What's the best rattle can finish to apply? Thought about powder coating but trying to keep cost down

I used Rustoleum, etching primer and then satin black or color of your choice for color. Their Hunter Green is nice also. Lance

Some of the spray paints nowadays are pretty durable; Rustoleum, Krylon, Minwax all have good durable finish and you can get them at Walmart. Prep is the best way to get a good finish with whatever you use and over-spray your color with a clear acrylic.

I used bed liner spray paint, the stuff they sell to coat the bed of a pick up truck. About the same price as a rattle can. Very durable.
