In 2018 did they make the Savannah Ultra Lite with black and clear glass? And what year did they start making the Ultra Lite?

Don't have an answer to your? However, I would suggest you find an original Savannah. They are an entirely better bow.

I believe they made/make it both ways, and I think 2018 was the first year.

I've had. the original Savanah and now have the Stealth longbow, I didn't notice much difference, both are good shooting bows. Never heard of the Ultra Lite.

It is likely just a term that is mostly meaningless, like remarking the Easton Aluminum arrows as Lite when they are the same size as the older ones.

Their website says it’s new for 2019. Looks a little different than the Savannah and the pic shows clear glass. No options listed for different glass color.

They come both ways, depending on how it was ordered. They are supposed to be lighter because they only use zebrawood in the riser.

I have a Martin Savannah and was told that the ones with the little tree painted on it were supposed to be the "better" ones. Mine has the tree, it is extremely very light and it is a very good shooter. It's also fast and quiet. I have no clue what year it is, I got it from a guy that must have never shot it, it absolutely looks brand spankin' new. This one has zebra wood under clear glass for the limbs. I think the riser is bubinga. If it were any lighter in mass weight I think it would float away.

Well I bought the Savannah Ultra light and love it. It was made in 2018 and is 40# thinking it would be 42-43# which it might be never put it on the scale. Love the bow and oh so smooth, but I should have went and waited for a heavier poundage. Now my next thing I have to do is find a Savannah in 50@ and trade. Thanks

You cant compare the old and new any longer unless you've shot one in the last 2 years. They may be worse or they may be better.

The bows with the Acacia tree on them are the bows that were made by the original Howatt bowyers prior to the ownership change. The tapers of the laminations in the bows are not the same as they currently are.

Don't judge any bow without shooting it to see what it's like. Dismissing one because it wasn't made by the old guard really doesn't make sense. If you don't shoot it, or haven't tried one, then you really don't know. Yes, things have changed a bit but they are still made in Washington and lots of folks are liking them.

I've talked to a number of people that have the new bows and really don't recall having heard anything but good things about them.
