Finally got some matched arrows for my Osage selfbow made by Brad Smith of Santa Fe, NM. He named it Spirit Dancer and it is a beautiful work of art as well as a very functional longbow. I'm taking it for a woods walk tomorrow and will post photos of same. The bow is about 43# at my draw and I'm using 47# cedars with 145 tips at 30". Getting great arrow flight and anxious to give this bow a good workout this year. I also plan to use it as my main hunting bow so we will see what adventure awaits.

Looks good. I have an Arvin Weaver selfbow I shoot at 3Ds occasionally. I hunted with it one year and shot over a doe. I should hunt with it more.

Brad gifted me this bow and it deserves my best effort. It is amazing how well you can get arrows to fly from a bow that has not shelf or center shot capability. I'm getting perfect (to my eyes) arrow flight with the cedars. It is whisper quiet.

Hard to beat a self bow and matching wood,or bamboo arrows, with turkey fletching for sheer joy and shooting pleasure. Arvin Weaver built mine. If it has a flaw, it is that it is just too perfect. One of these days I hope to get one of those snakey ones. >>>>------> Ken
