Looking for some help with aluminum arrow suggestions for a guys just starting out. He's shooting 30# @ 28 Samick Sage. His draw is 29 inches. He's shooting 3 under off the shelf with a glove. He's primarily a recreational target shooter. Possibly a little 3D as he gets his form down. I've been working with him a bit and he is showing steady improvement but the shop he went to set him up with carbons that are continually hitting left. He is right handed. His arrows also have target nib points that can't be changes. I'd like to get him started with some aluminums with 3 4" feathers. Thanks in advance boys.

1716 aluminums with 100 grains up front, maybe 125.

I shoot a 30# Samick Sage with a D97 string. My draw length is 28" and the bow pulls about 1 1/2 lbs heavy so I'm around 31 1/2 lbs at 28". I went with 800sp CE Predator II arrows cut to 28 1/4". I'm using 3 x 3" feathers. With nock and half-insert installed I end up with 29" from string to back-of-point. The half-insert weighs 46 grains and I use an 85 gr tip that gives 10 GPP. Arrows shoot great and bare shaft shoots straight when I get a full draw. I'm working through TP.

A 900sp CE Predator or 1716 alum with light tip weight should work fine. Viper suggested the 1716 to me a couple of years ago but I got hung up on carbons for some reason. The carbons are fine but I find that a broken nock almost always means a split shaft. I split 6 shafts so far.

Due to an injury, I'm shooing 32# w/ 1916"s, 31" with 100 gr. field tips.

Bare shaft tested, arrows fly great.

What arrow would you use if you wanted to use 125 grain tips and broadheads
