Just wanted to post this deer that I killed with my Freeman Longbow this last year. Picked it up from the taxidermist this afternoon. This is the smallest buck I have ever mounted. I don’t mount animals because of the size but more for the hunt or the experience of a certain hunt. This buck was special for me because it was my first spot and stalk buck. I have taken does and turkey by spot and stalk but never pulled it off with a buck with my bow. I spotted this buck a couple of hundred yards away and was able to get within 20 yards of him . Made a great shot and watched him fall. No tracking. For me doing that with a longbow that was built for me is just something I will never be able to top. So a shout out to Jeff for a big thank you for an awesome Longbow !

Couple of pics of bow. 66 inch and 43lb at 29 inch . I used an Easton Axis Traditional shaft with 5 inch shield cut feathers. Tipped with a Magnus 2 blade head.

One thing I forgot to say is that from the time I started trying to pull off a spot and stalk with a longbow for a buck till the time I finally accomplished it , it took me 7 years. I have always been mainly a treestand Hunter .

I feel like a proud parent Joey :-) Your 100% in my book. It's not always the size of the animal but more likely the memory of the heart. JF

Fantastic post thanks. I remember when Jeff made the bow, the knot was really distinctive, it is a beautiful bow. Congrats on the stalk and successful hunt. Thanks for sharing.
