I like a 3 blade but I’m sure the big shark would be fine. I used Grizzly instincts Last time and had an exceptional and short blood trail. taking them again next week, I find them easier to sharpen them the sharks.

I've only killed two black bears so I'm no expert but in my opinion any sharp broadhead put in the vitals that would kill a deer will kill a black bear.

The two black bears I killed were shot with a Zwickey Delta four blade. Both were complete pass throughs, and both black bears went less than 75 yards. I was shooting a 65# Dick Robertson Montana Falcon takedown bow.

Forgot to mention my dad is taking 200 grain VPA heads, also a great head.

I like something that will open a huge hole so the hair doesnt soak up the blood because where I hunt in the east is so thick you could walk past one at 5 yards n never see it. So it's my old snuffers for that. Black bears are easy to pen so 3s my choice. If I'm hunting west I use my 160 ace heads same as for anything since it's open country I'm hunting out there.

Any sharp head will kill them but with their thick hair not just any head will put blood on the ground sometimes.

I have some Swamp Sharks and 250gr VPAs that I'm itching to try out on a bear. IF I draw a tag.

You have already settled on the heads you plan to use. Make sure they are sharp and through both lungs

I like Magnus II, 125's. I shot a 550gr. doug. fir arrow almost completely through this bear. The ground stopped my arrow from blowing all the way through.

Why not a Grizzlystik Silverflame. Huge cutting width and fly great.

Same broadhead you use for anything else. Bears aren't hard to kill and you don't need a different broadhead for every animal you hunt.

I have shot more than 20 bears with several different heads. It's hard to beat a razor sharp VPA 200 grain 3 blade.

Both of the bear I've killed were with Bear Greenies (without the bleeder blades), the only broadheads I ever use.

Nice bear Sawtooth! Like what’s been said before, bears aren’t really any harder to kill than deer, but the big ones are obviously a lot wider so you have a lot more stuff to go through. Our guide recommended big expandable heads for the compound guys in camp. I shot this one with a Cutthroat 190gr with a Whispering Wind arrow from Aromakr out of a 50lb longbow and he only made it about 60 yards before expiring.

I’ve hunted bears all over the east and Canada. Worked for 2 camps. Seen hundreds of dead bears. Been on as many many recoveries. Next to a rabbit in my personal experience they are the easiest animal to kill. Don’t sweat what type broadhead. Sharpen it and put it in vitals. If it goes down within sight don’t be surprised. Even a larger one doesn’t go real far.
