Technical/computer-based problem here:
I am somewhat limited with how far back my LW search engine will go And many pics, especially from older threads, do not appear.
I can get 200 threads when I do a search for something but then it stops. When I click on, “[NEXT 200 Search Results]” at the bottom of the page it brings me to a blank page stating “End of Search Results” I know it is not the actual end of the search results because I’ve done searches for things like “Bow” and “Bear Archery” and it brings me back to April 2018 or thereabouts.
instead of a photo I will get A rectanglor box, inside it reads something like this, “ Jason D embedded photo” But no pic.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I get the next 200 issue you have on occasion, can't say why.
Pics were lost with an upgrade a couple years ago.

I just did search for my handle and was back to 2017 and still going. If you are searching for a person it will only go back to when that person came on the site. Hmmm, just did search for "howatt" got back to Jan 2019 and that's it, no more. Oh well, just another one of the quirky things this site does.

Thanks guys. That is a serious bummer about the photos especially! There has been some simply amazing information archived here and sad to hear that it is not preserved.
I just looked up a post I did on how to build a thumb ring out of a pool ball and it came through fine. Including pictures. I made that post in 2007! Yet If I did a search for thumb ring I don’t think it would show up. It is sad.
I did save one post that I really liked. Titled, Drake survey so I have most of the pictures from that one.

You can add a thread to your 'favorites' list and make it easy to find. Not sure what the 'method' is to purging old photo files but please remember that server space is not infinite.
