You may want to look into a double shelf bow at some point, then there won't be an awkward side for game to walk up on and less movment by you when reading for a shot.

I'm very LEFT handed and started shooting with the incorrect hand yesterday and surprisingly , my back is sore this morning. I figured out a way to aim and shot a 158 from 15 yards. :)

It is a great way to start fresh, and work on form. I gained 1" of draw length. It is also a good excuse to buy more bows.

When I cut the Tendon on my right index finger I had to go lefty for about 4 months. Surprised me how good I got. Was easier than I thought. Arrowchucker

I switched to lefty around 2004 now I find it hard to shoot rt handed.Just trying to listen to physical therapist and give it a try. I would have rather continued to shoot left handed.Babysaph you will probably end up shooting better LOL.

I'm left handed but years ago I had Tim Meigs make me a bow with a shelf on either side. I practiced with a shooting glove and arm guard on both arms and hands. I used a center back quiver so I could draw an arrow with left or right hand.
When I practiced I would alternate shooting left then right. My reasoning was in a hunting situation it wouldn't matter if a deer came in from either side I'd be able to make the shot.

Let hand shooting is out for me, it took me 59 years to learn how to shoot right handed and I don't have that many years left.

How do you overcome eye dominance? I’m a straight up southpaw and I can’t imagine being able to shoot a bow accurately right handed although I do quite well with a firearm so long as I close the left eye.

I’m right eye dominant and have absolutely no issues shooting both eyes open left handed. None at all.

JR, I switched to left hand a couple years ago, because of my target panic. So far so good, no TP shooting left handed. didn't take me very long to adjust, which really suprised me.

I'm right eye dominant and also shoot left handed with both eyes open. Do it enough and it will all come together!
