My little Mountain Cur had to be put down tonight. My wife and I are so broken hearted. She was only 7 years old and should have had many more years with us. She developed a heart condition for some reason and we had to put her out of her suffering. Tears all around.

Sorry for the loss, dogs can so quickly become beloved family members. Their passing is always a source of grief.

Sorry for your loss. Our last GSD developed a muscle condition at 7 years old. Had to put her down. We figured she should have lived another 3-4 years. It’s hard to do, making life and death decisions even for a pet.

Feel for you

been down that road and its a rough one

a new puppy has been the best medicine for me-not a replacement but a new buddy that grows on you quickly

I'm sorry for your loss,I feel your pain. I've buried many dogs over the years. The one I miss most was a Beagle named Dolly. Dolly was a special dog very smart and a great hunter. She devloped a heart condition and was 10 years old when I lost her.

We just lost our 8 year old pup. Only way to understand the severity of the pain is to go through it. All dogs die and take a piece of you with them, but some dogs steal your heart. I'm still recovering.

My most sincere understanding and sympathy for the loss of your companion. The better the dog, the worse the hurt.

We know what you are going through and offer you our condolences. It is one of the toughest things you can go through, as it is such a helpless feeling. Prayers to you both. Jake was 13 when he got a tumor that overtook his face and we had to put him down almost a year later last June. He was a trooper and toughed it out without a whimper all that time. My wife cries most every day as he was with her during tough times before I even came along. It is a heartbreaking feeling holding them as they pass. A new puppy will come along for you when the time seems right.
