The Traditional Bowhunters of Arkansas State Traditional Championship is Saturday and Sunday June 1-2, 2019. A bunch of us will be there the Wednesday before the shoot camping and building bows...camping is free and there are nice showers and bathrooms. It would sure be nice to see everyone there!

here's the directions and a little more information...we will have some fun/novelty shoots, a selfbow/natural laminated bow flight shoot, and even a 48" target at various long distances shoot. It's always way too much fun to miss.

Well, I might be coming Saturday instead of sunday now. I think the girlfriend is getting off work so she can come too.

Shawn, that's really good to hear! You will be able to play all day on the biggest day of the shoot. Stop by the camping area and say "Hi"...I'll have my truck camper on the white RAM. Maybe we can shoot a round. I plan on shooting every class I can....and might get in the top 3... if they would just combine all of my scores....

if you have the time, there's a nice ABA shoot tomorrow, 5/27 at the same range. Several of the TBA members will be there.

the ABA put on a great shoot today...thanks. We will be building bows starting Wednesday...if the Arkansas River doesn't flood all roads that lead to the shoot...

this is my last bump... I'm going to leave in the morning for Mayflower... I just hope the creeks don't rise any more than they already have... I hope to see everyone there, but watch for high water!

Bob, my plan is shoot one round (at least) then hopefully someone will help me work on piece of Osage that I might have ruined. Maybe bring a privet stave too.

The weather was awesome...the river stayed in it's banks (mostly), and we had one of the best shoots ever. Bows were made, friends were made, and everyone I talked to seemed to enjoy the little elk/big elk part of the shoot. :) Thanks for coming! ~the first elk is about 3' tall at 18 yards...the elk behind it is maybe 60 yards and full size... head games are fun... :)
