We used to go several times a year during the 70's and 80's when there were field, hunter and animal rounds. It was called then the Mark Misdom Memorial Shoot and all the money went to cancer. It's been awhile since I was there but it is a beautiful club and well taken care of. It collides too much with family stuff on Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy...you will indeed love the place and the shoot.

I am hoping that my wife has, recovered enough to allow me to sneak down. I still think it is a better shoot than Baltimore. Just not the vendors.

Craig, I've been there the past 3 years. But I'll not be able to make it this year.

One of the best family weekends of the warmer months. We already have 2 shoots that we are attending between Friday morning and Monday afternoon as traditional archery is a family thing for us. We looked at attending this one too. It just isn’t quite close enough to us. But, you who attend have a great time!!

westrayer, not a lot of vendors is a plus to me. I can get my fill of vendors at ETAR where there are multiple large tents of them. Sometimes it's nice not to have so many distractions. ;) Greencastle is an hour from me, and Baltimore is 2 1/2 hours so I don't go to Baltimore just to shoot 3Ds anyway. But I do hear it's a great shoot too.

One of the best shoots around. If it wasnr on Memorial Day weekend and they had vendors it could be a huge deal. But like Geoerge I just go to shoot with my buddies

Plan is to come down Saturday morning and drag Zman along. And Craig, I still have that Pearson Jet for you if you'll be there.

Absolutely one of my favorite shoots. Not crowded, great targets and setups. I wish I could go but still laid up after surgery. Have a great time everyone. Jim

Planning on coming Saturday from western Maryland. This shoot is criminally underrated...it is a shooter's shoot for sure that costs peanuts to enjoy...a "flatter" version of Sawmill (so to speak). Next to no vendors, free camping at a beautiful facility...good food with great staff too.

Attendance is definitely hampered by it being the first Summer holiday weekend. This shoot SHOULD be bigger than most but it isn't. But that's okay; just makes for shorter to NO lines on the courses!

What time does this shoot start on Friday? Is camping available?

This will be the 10th year for my wife and I. Over the years I've talked to various members of the shoot committee and the impression I get is that they don't want to grow this shoot bigger than they can handle. Which is probably why you don't see any ads or fliers promoting this event, and probably why they have it over the Memorial Day weekend. As everyone that has ever helped with putting on an event like this knows, the bigger the shoot, the more dedicated and dependable people you need to maintain the quality. I would submit this shoot is not underrated so much as it is just not promoted. I would classify it as a "hidden gem."

True Saltydog..."underrated" might not be the best adjective; under promoted for sure. And I have had staff there tell me the same thing; it's as attended as they want it to be due to the amount of help they have. Still a great time!!!

The target set ups look like they will test ones skills,of most levels. They are only missing hills or mountains,a good starter 3D summer kick off.

From: 1829
Date: 25-May-19

Another great shoot today! I do believe some of target scenarios were changed a bit from years past. And while there are no mountains, there are enough ravines and draws to have several steep downhill shots and shots across a "canyon."

As of around 1215 hours today we went in to grab some grub. The registration lady said she had around 130 registered to shoot. That's the highest number she's told me in the last three years I've asked.

I took some pics; hopefully I'll thrown them up later.

GREAT job again Greencastle gang!!!
