What's available around #700...other than Axis ? I prefer carbon because it's only straight or broken.

Gold tip warrior, ce predator ii, dark timber.

X2 on the GT Warriors. Bare shafts are very economical and shoot well on 35# Sage.

I just recently made some up for my girl friends bow. They are carbon express heritage 75's . Think they spined @ 690 or so. She seems to like them. She also had some gold tip warrior .700 that she liked a lot. But our stumping was hard on them. She would break a lot. I knew the heritage would be heavy. But if they are anything like my old heritage 150's I used to have, they will be fairly tough.

Gold Tip Ultralight Pro is a really nice arrow.

Check out Big Jims new Dark Timber shafts. They go down to an .800 spine. Very economical as well.

jk, a lot of manufacturers have 700 and even 800 and up. Lancaster Archery can likely help you out.

Knowing your setup, i urge you to look into carbon tech whitetail xp 650. 5.8 gpi. Come 32" stock length.

I 2nd Lowcountry on Big Jims arrows if yer lookin for a traditional wood grain shaft. They are nice for the money.

I'd advise against the Carbon Tech arrows, too fragile in my experience. ymmv

Has anybody actually compared those Dark Timbers ...they're cheap... are they fragile junk ?

Ive been using them (dark timbers) in 700 and 800.

They have proven very durable. I like many things about them including the gpi, nocks, and graphics--- oh and the price.

They are fine shafts.

jk, big jim done a review on here of them a while back.

Big Jim has a video where he shoots the Dark Timber shaft into several hard objects like a tree, CMU block, and steel, drum or something. The shaft held up about as good as you would expect - I think 2 or 3 shots into the block. I would say the Dark Timber shafts are comparable to the GT Trads.

The only negative on the Dark Timber shafts I bought is that the fat part of the inserts are slightly larger than the shafts. A minor inconvenience when pulling arrows out of targets. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

I shoot the Dark Timbers out of my Thunderchild and I am thoroughly impressed. I will hunt with them this year. For an .006 straightness tolerance arrow they very consistent in weight, straightness, and spine. I was shooting GT Traditional before (very fair comparison) couldn’t tell a difference. They’re just good arrows.

Black Eagle Interpred arrows are great. Have also had good luck with linkboy & Fleetwood. All good arrows for a limited budget.

I have yet to hear of a complaint on My Dark Timber shafts...except one guy who mistakenly used acetone to take his wraps off. Didn't hurt the shaft any, but removed some of the pattern.

I had mentioned that acetone was a no no, but he may not have gotten the letter.

Thanks, BigJim
