How ya handling the cold lately past week. Its cold to have had the heat on too. I had some vegetable plants out to harden off and between the rain and cold at night its killing them.
Blankets back on at night need to bring out my KOM again. LOL
Hands crippled up in cold. To cold for me to try to shoot let alone hunt some birds.
One of the guys in my club told me where some Toms were and I visualized sitting in blind with bow for a couple hours birds to come into fields.
Then I visualized freezing not enough cloths on. LOL
There's that visualization again. Always seeing things. Revelations

Come on up to Northern Minnesota, right on Lake Superior. High today was 50, supposed to be highs in the 40’s for the weekend. We never plant anything until after Father’s Day. The ground is too cold to sprout seeds Arrowchucker

Since I moved back to Texas I forget how late summer can come up there. There's corn maturing down in the valley and I've got tomatoes and peppers here in the Hill Country already.
Winter was so mild the greens never did freeze.

I was wearing my wool up until Saturday. Last week we had rain hail snow and sleet all in one day. And one snow a week for the past month. First week of May was the last snowfall. I’m really done with it. 81 today!

Still raw in the mornings but supposed to be in the 60's for the next few days.
There was a bit of snow in the Berkshires a couple mornings ago. This happens in May maybe every ten years or so. A few here might remember the time there was 6" of new snow for the Buckhorn Rendezvous in Stockbridge. (Could have used a cup of coffee from Alice's...)

It's still cold here in the mornings, lows in the upper 30's during the late night, early morning. Funny thing is, when it snows this time of the year here in Colorado, it's not cold that you need heavy wool. Lite Skre pants and lite base layers is all you need. It's warming up during the day now, upper 50's, low 60's. But with forest roads closed cause of deep snow still, rivers and streams running very high, it's gonna be a while till we're able to access the back country to fish the lakes.

our winter gardens are still producing, it hasn't got too hot yet, but it will, no gardening in summer, not much will survive the heat unless you have a screen house.

Snowed earlier this week at the top of the hills where I was working in Lincoln, NH (at the edge of Frankonia Notch). Still having to start working oujtside each day with longjohns and a coat. Was 30 degrees three days ago.
A few warmer afternoons has brought out some wildlife like an old Tom I see everyday and I saw moose tracks this morning. Was told there's a bear family along the river on the property I'm working on but they haven't showed up yet.
Just a 120 miles west at my house in the Adirondacks, the squirrels must still be living the good life and sleeping in my attic. Haven't even made any noise yet. Very unusual year.
But the cold makes the coffee taste better.

Last six weeks is the coldest wettest I've ever seen in New York this time of year. No time at all to shoot or hunt turkey's I need every good day to fit ground. Less than ten percent of our corn is planted.

Enjoy the coolness while it lasts.
In South Georgia we enjoyed a nice spring for a change. Low in the mid 50's and 70 for highs since the later part of March.
The past 5 years, it went from 30 to 90 in a couple weeks.
It will be in the 90's all next week. Wheww!
