Harvest em way too long. After they're dry cut a few shafts that are still too long and limber, make the back ends, then shorten/stiffen them just a bit at a time for tune.
When you finally have an arrow that's the right length for the needed spine, just test its spine and find that same stiffness along your other shafts before cutting them to length.
Or just do the first paragraph if you don't care about matching final lengths.
