Last week I received some intel from an employee that there were trespassers on my property... and in my driveway no less. I quickly gathered my gear and set up my blind in the curve out of site. Propped a decoy and let out a few soft calls... Less than 15 minutes in the blind and this less than intelligent trespasser caught a Dark Timber arrow before he could violate my decoy..Oh and he only went 20 yards too! They just can't tote a Big Jim Broadhead. No fancy camo.. just my GA hunting attire :)

Good one Big Jim, A dumb one ha. As busy as you are, good that you can slip in an In joy able hunt.

From: olddogrib

Congats, I always seem to get the "Einstein" gobblers that you can hear chuckling from 100+ yds. away. What I really need is a "pinball wizard" turkey for a confidence builder!

He must have been the only dumb one in the bunch cause I haven't seen another since... The morning I was leaving for the Ky tradfest I could hear them hammering on the back corner of my property and I was surely tempted to hunt and then leave late.

While I was at tradfest, my wife informed me that the turkeys were walking my back yard, enjoying the pool and challenging the turkey target I have there.

They knew I wasn't there... What they didn't know is that my wife would have dropped the hammer on one if they weren't careful.\

Congrats! You sometimes have to take advantage of the situation. I might do that this fall with one of the deer that walks through my yard.

From: trad47
Date: 11-Apr-19

Congratulations! In my yard there are loads of squirrels but I can’t shoot at them. My arrow could land in the neighboring lot next door. These are fat well fed squirrels living of the pecans in the trees surrounding my lot. Nice work and again hearty congratulations!

Now that’s what I call “cool”! Probably the only dumb bird that will be encountered this season! Lance

Way to get it done.Every one deserves a stroke of luck once in a while. It kind of makes up for the hard hunts when we come home empty handed. All hunts are good hunts though.>>>---> Ken

I plan to stop by Big Jim's place, someday, and give him a few lessons on how to hunt. I believe my generosity will make a big difference in his hunting ability.

BigJim Broadhead on the left, VPA broadhead on the right. Both 300g, and obvously both made by VPA.

They both do a great job, but turkeys especially hate the BJ broadhead. I have taken 5 birds using it, and 20 yards is the furthest any bird has taken it. Also many deer, a bear, countless pigs..etc. BigJIm

We'll also go on a hog hunt, so I can teach you ALERTNESS and how to properly hunt on the ground, for ANYTHING, without resorting to a bogus pop-up blind or having to climb a tree. When I'm done with ya, you won't quite be to my level, but you'll be close to the Wensels. Within 2 solid years, you might make it to my lofty level of skill. I have to get down to Georgia, as soon as possible!
