Ever notice how easy these Bows are to shoot?

Less chance of torque inputs due to the longer brace height makes them more forgiving.

You may lose some speed but they are nice Bows to shoot and tune.

What are your experiences?

Speed is not always better when it comes to easier to shoot and giving up a few FPS.

What is your opinion?

The Hatfield takedown was an easy shooting bow.

I owned a few Jeffreys Bows that were nice too.

I cannot remember the name of the Jeffreys Bow?

Not the Quillian Patriot but the other offerings.

I did, however, own and kill game with a Patriot.

Bear Black bear warf is a good compromise.

D the riser, and R the limbs. End up with a nice, stable and fast bow!

Reviving an older thread. My Jeffery's was a Royal.

What's a deflex handle, ya talking about a high grip?

Think about the terms deflex, reflex and recurve.

Starting at the middle of the bow bending away is deflex. Going toward the tips some bending away is reflex, and even more is recurve.

Two of my favourite bows the Kodiak Magnum and the Shawnee Traditions have deflexed risers.

A Hill style longbow has neither.

Perhaps someone can create diagrams.

DEFLEX at far side of shelf, riser pointing away from shooter. Riser more away than straight vertical. Reiser area of bow shaped more like a boomerang.

That diagram that Mechanic put up is about as plain as it can get.

I had a Martin Dream Catcher for a while, beautiful bow but I really didn't care for the higher brace.

The Rocky Mountian Recurve is a good example of a deflexed riser. They are a very good shooting bow too.
