Years ago, I saw mention of a thin, self-published book about the history and construction of a Lakota style bow backed with Bison Horn. I lost my copy. Does anyone remember this book / booklet? Does anyone know how or where I can find it? ( Internet searches have not been successful...yet.)

usually the horn is on the belly,, I have seen accounts of how to make the bows..but not sure what book you are talking about

I don't know the book. I'm like Brad though. I've only heard of horn on the belly. Good in compression from my understanding. Usually sinew on back. Good in tension. Bjrogg

Here are a couple of books I have in my collection. They both have horn bow building chapters. If you think this is what you’re looking for let me know.
