That's right it's Turkey time. I copied my grandpa's ol turkey call. He used cedar, local wood down on the farm. He was from southern Missouri, dang near Arkansas. He used to make these and sell a few, back in the day,30s-50s It works very good. Gobble gobble.

We have a lot of turkeys all about us here in the eastern Allegheny Mountains. I can usually hear them gobbling while I'm in my back yard.

Love the sounds of the turkey. Some people just don't know what sounds they make. My grandpa sure did :-) JF

You will learn a lot if you just take the time to listen. The spring woods is full of excitement. I wish I could hear the mushrooms growing!

Heard 3-4 different ones from the porch this morning at dawn, then around 8:30 8 hens, a jake and 2 long beards decided to use my yard as their morning hang out. Nothing like dueling gobblers to start the day. Call looks good JF hope it brings one in.

Nice looking calls. Nothing like carrying on a conversation with a love sick gobbler on a beautiful spring morning. Good luck, hope your calls bring in a tom for you this year.

Jeff, that looks good. I hope your turkeys cooperate better then ours did. We only had time for one weekend hunt at the very beginning of our season. Unfortunately it was to early, now they are primed and in the strut, and no time to get off work. How's the bow rebuild? Glue dry yet??

Make up some simple, quick boxcalls. OB. They can be gorgeous and functional. Each one can have a slightly different pitch :-) They work. The one in my hand is where it all started, 50 plus years ago. JF
